How many memories begin with Cicadas,
Or dancing Santa’s deflating to bend double,
Kissing dirt whilst reindeers staunchly idle,
And lawn mowers hit gum nuts that crackle,
And the grass smells fresh and sweet.
A Christmas cacophony good enough to eat.
